    Afternoon everyone,

I'm sorry i haven't been blogging recently things have been super busy in the shop with the festive period being upon us. I have been creating though don't worry.

I really enjoyed the recent Quick Cards magazine especially the free bonus papers. I was inspired by the papers to get creative as soon as i saw them. I set myself a challenge to see how many cards i could create using the papers as a core focus. I experimented with different ideas and styles whilst always keeping them clean and simple. I ended up with 8 different cards, 3 of which i have featured above. I'm super pleased with them i will share the others with you all soon.

Another flash back from me today.

I used to do a lot of work creating with felt, something i don't do enough recently but must get back into!

I made these hearts back in 2010 around about the time that my son was born. I mostly made the rainbow ones as these were the best seller in my little online shop but i also made single coloured ones. I expect those that follow my blog will notice i have a love of buttons and use them in many ways!

    Flash Back Alert!

Another flash back from me today. I was looking through my old photo albums of creations and came across one of my favourites from back in 2010. Button Mirrors. I loved creating these, it was a craft of love and was so relaxing to sit in my craft room and arrange the buttons carefully onto the MDF mirror frames. I had the MDF mirror blanks specially made into different shapes so that i could create unique mirrors and decorate them in a variety of ways. Not only did i cover them in buttons but i used different wrapping papers (before i found decopatch papers) and painted some too.

I do love looking over my old designs. What about you do you have a favourite design from years ago?

  4. 'Where the heart is' - challenge blog has another challenge starting today.

    Theme - Christmas colours
Sponsor - That Craft Place -

Although the theme for this challenge was 'Christmas colours' i had selected a genral image from 'The Craft Place' that can be used all year round so i chose not to follow the christmas colours theme. I hope this image gives you an idea of how great the digi images are though.

There is another challenge over at The Creative Craft Cottage.

This time the sponsor is 'My Stitch back in twine' - They have some fantastic digi stamps available head over and take a look.

I chose to use this cute butterfly image. I coloured the image using my spectrum noirs and then an overcoat of spectrum noir sparkle. It is hard to show in a photo but it is very sparkly! Once i completed the card i decided to create some coordinating gift boxes which i expect i will fill with sweets!
