  1. A little something different today as i have been making some ofWP_001071
    of my old designs again.
One of which is a selection of these felt hanging hearts, my favourite to
make has always been this rainbow button embellished heart.

I looked back at my old social media account and realised i first started
making these in 2009! How time has flown by and things have changed!
Back then i was childfree, working full time in a job i didn't enjoy just
to earn and save and making things in my little craft room in my spare
    time.

The crafting world has certainly changed over the past few years. It is much harder to sell handmade products i have noticed as so many are now making and selling on different platforms.

I still feel very lucky though. I may not get time to make as much as i used to and i don't sell my own designs very often as i don't have the time to market them but i do get to use new products and create examples for the shop, design teams and magazines when i get asked.

  2. If you haven't heard about the recent creative craze of colouring Floral bird colouring page
for adults, where have you been?!

I have been having a great time exploring the different elements of the colouring craze. Testing out different books by different artists and designers; using different pens and pencils and more recently designing my own colouring pages.

I have been designing colouring pages both by hand and digitally using my different digi programmes.

This one here i created using a digital program. I have printed it out and it is on my list to colour in next...looking forward to seeing how it looks coloured up.

If you would like to test out my colouring pages please leave a comment and i will happily send you a FREE digi copy.

All my designs of colouring pages and digi stamps will be available for sale here.

  3. PhotoGrid_1439974863540CAS - Clean and Simple

One of my oldest friends got married on Saturday 22nd August and i wanted to create a card that i knew would appeal to both her and her husband and be personal. They are not into cutesy images or fussy cards so i decided to create a CAS card.

I wanted it to look stylish and have a personal touch so i used a bit of texture and peel offs to add their married name.

I was really pleased with the finish, i hope they were too!

  4. I expect you are getting bored of seeing cards i have created using the natures galleryPhotoGrid_1439399787987
collection but i am certainly not getting bored of making them.
The papers are so lovely to work with. The best thing about this range if you can create card for all sorts of occasions and for both males and females.

I have again used the ink edging technique on this card but only on one side, i think it adds a little texture and effect.

  5. PhotoGrid_1439994827895Beside the seaPhotoGrid_1439994934550

I created a mixed media desk
calendar today that i have to say i'm pretty proud of.

I created the base using a blue spotted square card that i turned into an easel card base.

I then found a complementing blue lace design paper & added a square for the bottom.

My focal element is a beautiful tilda angel by the sea, this was the image that inspired my make. I then went on to use shells, a mini wheel fan, netting & a glitter starfish.

My favourite embellishments to use as i'm sure you will have noticed if you have seen any of my other work are gems and pearls.

I finished the card with a calendar tab. I find that i prefer to make things that have a purpose which i think is why a lot of my mixed media pieces are turning into desk calendars at the moment. I am setting myself the challenge of creating a mixed media piece purely to look at and admire as art next!
