  1. Hello everyone, as promised i couldn't put Imagine Design Create A5 Zodiac stamp set away so this week I'm back with another project to share with you.

Instead of a card this week i have made a gift bag using Xcuts A4 gift bag die, that's not to say that this process couldn't be applied to a card or any other crafty project you can think of.

I really like how this turned out, I have never been happy with my attempts at a galaxy background before so i came up with this idea and I'm really pleased with the results.

To start i cut cut four pieces from the gift bag die to create the gift bag from 300gsm card, i put two of these to the side and cut away the tabs and sides from the remaining two so i would have a surface i could work on without getting ink on the sides of the finished bag..

Using distress inks in squeezed lemonademermaid lagoon and wilted violet and the smooching technique with a light touch, i applied each colour in turn drying between layers so i could control where the colour ended up, i made sure to leave lots of white space so i could blend more ink over the top without loosing any of the pattern of colours i have just created, repeat with the other piece.

I blended tumbled glasschipped Sapphire and black soot distress ink into the white space i had left behind. All of the zodiac signs are stamped in onyx black versamark ink, here is where i thought you could personalise this project by making one of the zodiac signs stand out with embossing powder and add the appropriate sign name maybe?

I glued both pieces to the front and back sections i had put away earlier before constructing the bag and voila.

I hope you have enjoyed today's blog, as always I'm looking forward to sharing with you again next week. Eli x

  2. Helloo.. from Lynn ????

I know the title is a bit out of season but it got me thinking as to how versatile stamping is.  Its great to see what everyone creates with the same stamps, the different uses and different styles.

Again I have used the Tulips stamp set. On another blog I posted, I used only the outside line of the tulip head and I thought it would be fun to use the infill head part of the tulip only.
