Rounded Squares Stencil using distress oxides onto black card

Posted on

Hello all, and welcome back to my blog. Today I’m going to be sharing a A4 background I have made using Imagine Design Create’s Rounded SquaresWindow Shapes and Circle & Squares stencils and masks.

I am also using Distress oxides which are still very new to me but I’m really enjoying playing with them and finding out what they can do.

I started out with a A4 piece of black card and chose five shades of Distress Oxides, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio and Brocken China. I bended the Oxide inks on to the card through areas I masked off with the square stencils and mask by Imagine Design Create, repeating with different colours till the card is covered.

I cut a strip 2 1/2 ‘’ wide from the long side of the A4 card, then cut the remaining piece in half to create two squares. Taking a white gel pen and the Circles and Squares stencil I doodled through the stencil on only the black areas, and free hand doodled.

I cut the long strip in to three ATCs and matt and layer the two squares on to 7x7 card blank and finished off with sentiments from Imagine Design Creates Block Sentiments stamp set.
